"Knowledge in martial arts actually means self-knowledge. A martial artist has to take responsibility for himself and accept the consequences of his own doing." -Bruce Lee

In 3D Tae Kwon Do, students learn fundamental Tae Kwon Do skills, including various blocks, hand strikes,
and kicks. Instruction focuses on maximizing speed and power while defining and emphasizing the three Ds
— Discipline, Determination, and Defense. At each belt exam, students are required to define at least one
of these three terms, as well as perform techniques in front of a panel of experienced martial artists.
Students expand upon their knowledge of the three Ds and build upon their Tae Kwon Do skills throughout
their training, ultimately striving to earn a promotion to the master rank of black belt. The principles
and knowledge acquired also extends beyond the classroom and helps students build character and confidence
that they will carry with them throughout their lives.
While "karate" has become an umbrella term for most martial arts programs advertised in the United States,
Tae Kwon Do is actually the art that students are most often taught. The wording does not matter; it is what
you do with the techniques and how you carry yourself and treat others that makes you a
true master of the martial arts, and of your life.
